The Concorde Trust

Concorde at Filton 2010 online survey

During 2010 which is the centenary year of aviation at Filton, The Concorde Trust wasted more money, which to date accounts for a total waste of £350,000, and conducted a worthless online survey which received amazing response from Concorde enthusiasts fooled into think that they were about to build this wonderful new home for Concorde. The goal of this survey was to establish the views of people concerning what should be within the new aviation heritage centre at Filton. They stated that they were interested in finding out what the visitors would like to see and do during their experience at Concordes new home. They also stated that the  Concorde enthusiasts have by means of their response helped provide benchmark data, which is so important at this stage of the project. Well may be it was all about making it look like they were doing something after all this time, as the money (£350,000) was all gone and wasted, now they want BAC to give them another £400,000 so that they can waste that on rubbish. They have already wasted nearly half the cost of the hanger for Concorde at Manchester!

The survey is now closed but further development on the project will follow in due course and will appear on this page.

In the meantime you are very welcome to contact Katherine Hann concerning this project.

Concorde's new home

The Concorde Trust

The Concorde Trust, which is an independent organisation, was set up in June 2007. Its objective is to deliver the new aviation heritage centre project; including raising the remainder of the funds which are needed to build Concorde’s new home.

The objects of the charity are: “For the benefit of the Public, to Build, establish, maintain and operate a museum specialising in the public display, restoration and conservation of aircraft, missiles, rockets, satellites and other flying or aerial,, or space devices, of machines and the components of them and drawing and archived and other products relating to the aircraft and aerospace industries.

Heritage Concorde can report that the ‘Concorde Trust’ have done nothing but totally waste money to the sum of  £400,000. This seems to have been wasted on very high wages in the area of £87,000 for the top man, and other fees including various consultants and surveys for the  proposed options for a ‘home’ for the aircraft, and it seems that they are now bullying the trustees of the Aero Collection to hand over the £350,000 + raised from your visits and support, that has been raised towards their planed heritage centre, (in which Concorde was to be the star exhibit). At this point the real situation starts to become clear. It aslo seems that The Concorde Trust would like to have a hangar for Concorde only, without the Bristol Aero Collection, and their volunteers. The Bristol Aero Collection are fighting for Concorde, they will not allow anymore money to be wasted, and the £350,000 they hold is for the new heritage centre and not to pay the wages of the fat cats at the ‘Concorde Trust’.
