Following a very successful visit by Foxies Filton Flyers (made up of enthusiasts from across several Concorde groups) to Toulouse in April 2018, It seemed only appropriate to invite members of the Concorde community in Toulouse on a reciprocal visit to some of the UK Concorde sites.

The visit was planned and arranged by Paul Evans & James Coombe and happened over the weekend of 13th/14th October with visits to Brooklands and Filton.

The majority of the group assembled at Heathrow on the Friday night and shared many stories over dinner and drinks.

People traveled far and wide from all corners of the UK, Zurich, Canada and of course France for the weekend which is hoped to go on to become an annual event.

​

In addition to Concorde enthusiasts, former crew and museum volunteers, Guests included Louis, Laurence and Kevin from Cap Avenir Concorde (Toulouse), Former Air France Concorde Captain Jacky Ramon and The worlds most traveled person Mr Fred Finn.

Saturday saw a private Champagne Day at Brooklands hosted by Captain Mike Bannister, Visitors also had the opportunity to visit the former BA Concorde simulator and witness a nose move on Delta Golf. The day concluded with a ride on a classic London Route-master bus to take visitors to the pub for dinner.

On Sunday the group headed west to visit Aerospace Bristol where we were treated to a personal guided tour of the Bristol Aero Collection before going to see Concorde Alpha Foxtrot. It was an emotional reunion for several of the group who were actually onboard the aircraft for her last flight into Filton almost 15 years ago.

It was a truly memorable weekend and one which we hope will be repeated over the coming years
